We are seeking an Entry Level Locksmith to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This contract position offers an annual compensation of $50,000 and is ideal for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent. As an Entry Level Locksmith, you will play a crucial role in providing security solutions for our clients, ensuring their safety and satisfaction through excellent service and mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various lock systems and security devices.
- Assist customers in evaluating their security needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Respond to lockouts and emergencies in a timely manner, providing professional service.
- Maintain accurate records of service and repairs conducted on locks and security devices.
- Keep tools and equipment in good condition and ensure they are used safely.
- Work with team members to address complex lock and security challenges.
- Continuously update knowledge of industry advancements and innovations in locksmithing.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- A valid drivers license
- Have your own tools for the trade or the means to purchase the tools needed.
- Pass a background check.
- Open availability including weekends.
- A reliable vehicle.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a personable demeanor.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common locksmith tools.
- Effective time management abilities to prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Prior experience in locksmithing is a plus but not required.
Position Details
This is a 1099 Independent contractor position. We provide free training that is unpaid. Pay is per job.
The technical environment includes working with standard locksmith tools and equipment, operating in a collaborative team structure, and reporting to senior locksmiths or supervisors. Cross-functional collaboration may occur with other service departments to ensure comprehensive security solutions for our clients.
